Awakening
I’ve been thinking that by having a digital camera, it allows me to learn photography faster than ever. I was wrong. I was basically shooting blindly. I kept thinking that Photoshop can do wonder, and therefore I didn’t really doing photography; I was just taking pictures without thinking. I have been thinking in front of my PC, with Photoshop.
I was naive.
Just read a book on understanding exposure. It wakes me up. I suddenly aware that that photography is about exposure, not photo editing. Photo editing is just another art form. I love phototgraphy and also enjoying photo editing. But it’s time “treat” them separately.
I’ll be going for a photo shoot session tomorrow on flashlight photogtaphy, another area that caught my attention lately. I have a good set of photographic gear, not top of the line stuff, but enough to get things done effectively and creatively; but I’ve not fully utilize it capabilities yet.
I’m merely a junior apprentice in photography. Still have a long way to go, before I can call myself a photographer. I hope I’m not too late…
