Windows XP on VMWare Fusion & BootCamp

Finally get both environments up and running. Not that I missed Windows, but something just can be easily done in Windows than Macintosh.

For BootCamp, my only intention is to patch the Apple superdrive firmware so that I can have RPC2 Auto Reset enabled for playing DVDs from various regions without any concern of the being locked by a fixed region after 5th change… Dare not try the procedure yet though…

For WMWare Fusion, call it a “backup plan” then. I like the idea of the complimentary VirusScan software bundled in it. But this is just a 30 days evaluation copy, I will decide later whether to buy it for permanent use.

Meantime, I am enjoying my Mac and I’m in the process of gathering and disposing of all the old parts from my old Windows systems that cannot be re-used on Mac…

P/S. Practicing photo processing workflow now with Mac now with Canon Digital Photo Professional. Found the utility (exiftool) that I am looking for to batch reset file modification date to match the JPEG shooting date, cool!
